Message from the President

Happy November everyone! We are heading into the holiday season in downtown Madison and everything will be lit up. Madison's Central Business Improvement District is partnering with area property owners, businesses, community organizations and area non-profits to present a new, unified Downtown Holiday Celebration called "Shine On Madison".

This six-week community event will include a holiday lighting ceremony, a celebration of the history of the Capitol, a special focus on downtown retailers, enjoyment of our arts and a strong sense of community. The lighting ceremony is Saturday, November 18th at 6:08pm at the top of State Street. For additional details go to www.shineonmadison.com. So bundle up, bring the kids, grandparents, neighbors and everyone else you know who would like to celebrate our beautiful downtown. And remember your holiday gift list-there is great shopping!

Susan Schmitz,
DMI President
