Message from the President

Welcome to summer in downtown Madison! This is the best time of the year to enjoy our beautiful downtown. Take advantage of Madison's best assets-our lakes. Enjoy the Union Terrace and the many new enhancements/amenities that they have to offer since their renovation-luckily the view is still the best ever! And don't forget Concerts on the Square (COS), Wednesdays, June 28th-August 2nd at 7pm. These concerts are free to the public-a true gift to our community. Then we have Ride the Drive on Sunday, July 16th on John Nolen Drive-a chance for friends and families to ride or walk on a "car free" John Nolen Drive. And after the COS series, there is Jazz at 5 on Upper State, Wednesday, August 9th-September 6th starting at 5pm. And if you need to continue your urges for great entertainment and great music, the amazing Dane Dances is on the Monona Terrace rooftop running from August 4th-25th with DJs starting at 5:30pm and music starting at 6pm. And this year do not forget the Madison Night Market on Gilman Street, Thursday, July 13th, 6-11pm-a fun event for everyone! With these and the many other events and happenings taking place, there is no reason to ever leave this wonderful city and downtown in the summer time-it is the best place to be and easy to get around on a bike or Bcycle! See you downtown and Happy 4th of July!
