Message from the President
Happy Spring! Well...happy 30-degree day at least. Spring's coming...right?

No matter the weather, April means Spring elections in Wisconsin. On Tuesday, April 3rd Wisconsinites all over this great state will head to the polls to select a Supreme Court Justice, Dane County Supervisors, School Boards, Judges and Suburban City/Village leaders. For a great way to find out who is on your ballot use: https://myvote.wi.gov/en-US/PreviewMyBallot. No matter your political stripes it is imperative that you vote. This is your best way to be heard.

Along with voting, DMI members can also participate in the civic process by attending DMI meetings where we discuss the issues of the day, work to find common/smart solutions and put them into action. Over the last quarter the DMI Government Relations Committee has meet with several of our elected officials including Alder Zach Wood, Alder Ledell Zellers and State Representative Chris Taylor to discuss how to make downtown Madison even stronger. Please remember to vote on Tuesday, April 3rd and join us for a committee meeting so that you can have your voice heard.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Jason Ilstrup,
DMI President
